This video brings up an interesting point that I’ve been thinking about recently. With the battle for High Definition still waging on, the main number many people are concerned with is the pixel count. With technology advancing at a rate unparalleled to previous markets, hardware manufacturers have been scrambling to produce bigger, clearer pictures.
This is normally done by adding pixels to the equation rather than scaling them. This new technology allows for images to be scaled without distorting the pixels, allowing gigapixel images to be displayed on your standard monitor.
This is probably the best Twilight joke picture I’ve seen so far. I had to re-post this. I found it here.

The Turbo Encabulator is a fictional machine whose alleged existence became an in-joke and subject of professional humor among electrical engineers.
In 1946 one of the earliest references to the turbo-encabulator appeared in Time on, April 15, 1946 by Bernard Salwen, a New York lawyer working in Washington, DC. Part of Salwen’s job was to review technical manuscripts. He was amused by the jargon and wrote the classic description of a non-existent turboencabulator. - Wikipedia

If I only had a nickel for every time I’ve face-palmed myself in this situation.

Here is a compilation of some seriously nerdy costumes.
